no not really. these engines are heavily restricted by the exhaust and intake systems. it's not uncommon to see gains of 65-75 rwhp on these just by doing full exhaust, lid, and on the 98-00 cars, upgrading to the ls6 intake. 01-02 cars came stock with it, but had less aggressive cams to keep the numbers the same

what did you do to lower the car? did you do the heater hose mod to the rear?

01-02 cars came with a similar intake but not a ls6. A lot people get ripped off from that. A ls6 intake has a v cut botton and a 01-02,00-05vette intake without the egr port has a flat bottom if you ever need to tell. Or go by part numbers.

I sold one like 5 years ago for 450 bucks and the guy flipped out when he got it because it wasnt one. So I refunded him and looked it up and found out.

yeah I did the heater hose mod. now I have to raise it back up because the new tires are scrubbing the quarters over bumps, and it's riding rough now.

as for the intakes I never knew that, everyone just always calls them all ls6 intakes. but now that I know that I can be more careful when I go to buy one
