had this idea last night, see what you guys think. why don't one saturday night that we all agree on have a meeting say at hooters on 98 and I4. eat, b/s get organized whatever aroud 5-6ish then all head out to the track for test and tune, and start running for times and runing grudge matches to establish our positions on the board? then from there we can do call-outs etc. but I would like to see a few basic ground rules for times so to make the playing feild level. here's my thoughts:

1. vehicle must be driven to track (sorry mike)
2. vehicle must make passes on street legal tires (drag radials ok, but no slicks)
3. you must back up any time with at least 2 more passes within .1 seconds to ensure no "fluke" passes
4. if "grudge matching" with another vehicle, regardless of time, the winner takes the position. redlight start or mechanical malfunction nullifies race, and original position is kept
5. all grudge races will be heads up. no car lengths, no "taking the hit". straight up lights go green, and go!

these were my thoughts. feel free to make any input, or just say it's all a bad idea or whatever. not tryig to get too "rulesy" but I think it may clear up any confusion on laying out the board and establishing the order and keeping from having the,"well, I ran faster, but he had slicks, and I took the hit. but he got there first, so i still win right?" variables out of it and the "ricer excuses" so to speak

this is good. but the board is more for not so cop friendly racing. for a few reasons weather or not the race will be on the track or the street will be between the 2 racing for the spot. make a second full list of rules including that and i will edit the leader board post to say this list

No i like the idea, but as you said kevin there are a lot of street car oriented racing, so we should have two different leader boards street and strip!

I know all that, I was just saying to get an initial order. right now the board is just kinda randomly listed. this way we could all in one night get the top 10 spots secured. then from there positions could be challenged on the street or track. this would give a chance fo us all to meet up, check each others stuff out, run it and see what we're up against and be able to work and challenge up from there

I agree with the one night everyone getting together thing. I would also like to make at least the first top 10 at the track and from then its what ever call out who ever you want and name the spot.

but im just a piss-ant yall do what eva just let me know what yall decide.

here's an idea for the street runs also: any runs must be witnessed by a 3rd party or have video of result.

Yeah i agree with the above said to start the list with the track. From then on out at the streets. Also you guys should look into the grab a lane rules. Like when your called out you need to establish the race within two weeks or give up your spot. That rule is there in the event your car is down it gives you time to get her up and running. Just my 2 cents
